Finally, after four weeks at the number one spot in the Box Office, The Dark Knight's reign at the top has been ended by Ben Stiller directed Tropic Thunder, a comedy spoof movie within a movie.
Amidst plenty of protests because of the liberal use of the word "retard" in the movie, those of us who saw the humor in the movie still found it funny. I always think that when we go to watch a movie, we want to have a good time. Don’t take it too seriously, whether the word “retard” or some other offending words are used though these words should not be used in the real world.
Despite ending its run at number one for four weeks, The Dark Knight managed to rake in a total of US$471.5 million to surpass Star Wars [1977] which grossed a total of US$460 million, earning the distinction of being the second highest grossing movie of all time.
