Garfield and Odie sneak to London to follow their master John Arbuckle (Breckin Meyer), who went to London to propose to his girlfriend, Dr. Liz Wilson (Jennifer Love Hewitt).

Out in the country, a deceased Lady Eleanore granted her entire estate to a Garfield-lookalike cat called Prince XII; bypassing Lord Dargis (Billy Connolly), a nephew of Lady Eleanore, who is now next in line to the estate after Prince XII.
However, Lord Dargis wants Prince dead as he has grand plans to develop the estate and so he plots the death of Prince.
Meanwhile in London, Garfield and Prince got mixed up and Garfield was brought back to the castle in the country and treated like a prince, with personal butler and all.

Although all the animals in the estate know that Garfield is not the real Prince, they still have to treat him as one, or the estate will be inherited by Lord Dargis, who in the process of developing the estate, will do away with the barnyard and the animals will be served to the guests and visitors.
On a personal note, this movie has some humour but I don't really like Garfield. I watched the first Garfield movie two years ago, and I must say there is a slight improvement in the character, but still not good enough.
Prince or Garfield?
I think Odie, although just a non-speaking character, even stole the limelight in some scenes. Overall, it's just an OK movie. Thankfully, it's not longer than the 1hr 25minutes. That's more than enough for it.
